salesman

推销员

(tuīxiāoyuán)

A: Have you ever run into a salesman?

(nǐ yǒuméiyǒu yùdào ɡuò tuīxiāoyuán?)

B: Nope. It seems that it's very rare for people to come over and sell their products.

(méiyǒu, ɡǎnjué xiànzài hěnshǎo yǒurén huì shànɡmén tuīxiāo shānɡpǐn.)

A: While I was waiting at the train station yesterday, two young people came over to me and tried to sell me some cleaning fluid.

(zuótiān wǒzài huǒchēzhàn děnɡchē de shíhòu, yǒu liǎnɡɡè niánqīnɡrén ɡuòlái tuīxiāo tāmén de qīnɡjiéjì.)

B: They probably saw that you are easy to talk to and so decided to sell you something. Did you buy any?

A: It was really hot at the time and I felt bad for them, so I bought two bottles. At least it works pretty well.

(dānɡshí tiānqì hěnrè, wǒ kàn tāmén liǎnɡɡè yě hěn xīnkǔ, wǒ jiù mǎi le liǎnɡɡè, búɡuò hái tǐnɡhǎoyònɡ de.)
