A new exhibition was held at the National Art Museum of China to mark the 100th birthday of the late Chinese artist Li Hu.
The expansive exhibition includes traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, sketches and sculptures to look back on the artist's entire career.
Born into a poor family in a remote region of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, Li experienced numerous hardships during his childhood, a time when he began showing great interest in painting.
During his decades-long career, he formed his own style in which tradition meets modern ideas.
The exhibition ends on November 20.
