The full cast list for Lost in Russia, the latest film in actor/director Xu Zheng's Lost series, was announced at a promotional event in Beijing on Saturday. 

Set to premiere on January 25, 2020, Chinese New Year's Day, the family film stars Xu along with well-known Chinese actresses Yuan Quan and Huang Meiying. 

The film follows the comedic adventures of Xu's character as he travels to Russia with his mother (Huang). Most of the story takes place on the international railway line K3, which travels from Beijing to Ulan Bator in Mongolia and on to its final destination Moscow. 

At the event, Xu recalled that the film was inspired by his actual experience traveling with family. 

"Any Chinese family could run into these awful problems when meeting and trying to express their love for each other," he said.
