A national ice yachting race is in full swing in Fuyuan in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, as more than 50 yachting enthusiasts participated in the race.

The event was held on the iced Heilongjiang River, as the region's winter season often sees freezing conditions. 

Fuyuan is the northeastern-most county-level city in China, with the Heilongjiang and Wusuli rivers merging in the city.

Yachting has been growing in popularity among grassroots fans year by year, as the Chinese Yachting Association is investing big on the sport at the grassroots level.
