Five employees at a Sichuanese restaurant in Beijing's Fengtai district are now confirmed to have contracted COVID-19. Fengtai is where the Xinfadi wholesale food market is located, where the new outbreak of COVID-19 was discovered.

A Beijing disease control official revealed at a press conference on Tuesday night that the newly confirmed four employees were close contacts of the first female patient whose case was disclosed two days ago.

According to the official, the four came from Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality and live in Fengtai's Huaxiang subdistrict, which has been classified as the only epidemic high-risk area in Beijing.

The restaurant's owner said he has reminded customers to undergo nucleic acid tests as soon as possible.
