Chinese artist and author Zuo Yu debuted a new collection of her latest poems on Saturday at Beijing's 798 Art Zone. The book,
365 Love Letters to Self, collects 180 poems about the poet's observations about daily life.
According to the artist, the collection aims to offer people a channel to understand her feelings and impressions about life.
Zuo said that during a time when smart devices are dominating people's lives, she prefers to express a sense of beauty through Chinese characters.
Zuo also sat down for a dialogue with artist Zhu Jiuyang, whose latest exhibition
Nature and Apocalypse is currently being hosted at the art zone's Langkong Museum. The exhibition focuses on the themes of loneliness, loss and frustration as well as hope.
