A passing deliveryman offered his own flowers to a couple he saw fighting on the street in Beijing on Chinese Valentine's Day Tuesday, as the boyfriend had forgotten to buy gifts for his girlfriend.

Amid bustling crowds of happy couples holding hands in Beijing's Zhongguancun district, the young couple started drawing attraction when the man suggested that he buy some flowers to make up for his mistake, but was rejected by the woman, who said, "It's all too late," according to a video that a passerby filmed and posted online.

Later, a deliveryman offered the man a bouquet of flowers that he had just bought from a nearby flower shop to give to his girlfriend and left.

The flower shop owner told media that the deliveryman had asked her to split his flowers into two bouquets, one for for his girlfriend and the other for the fighting couple outside.

Though it is not known how the couple reacted or what happened later, the deliveryman's kind gesture warmed the hearts of many Chinese netizens.

"I hope he can share some flowers with me as well, as I forgot to buy them for my girlfriend too… Oh, I also forgot that I don't have a girlfriend," commented one sad bachelor on Weibo.
