China-Europe freight trains have collectively run 11,270 cargo trips from between January to November 2020, an increase of 51 percent year on year. The rate of return and depart journeys reached 76 percent with a 98 percent heavy container rate, according to the data of China Railway Container Transport CO. on Wednesday.
29 cities in China have departed more than 100 trains respectively to 90 cities in 20 European countries, China Railway Container Transport said.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, China-Europe freight trains helped countries along the railway to fight again the pandemic, transporting 64,000 tons of Covid-free material.
Goods mainly depart from Chongqing, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Suzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu and Yiwu to Germany, Poland, Italy, Russia, Lithuania, Belarus, Hungary and Netherlands.
Trans-Asia freight trains have run 3,562 from January to November 2020 with increase of 13 percent year on year, which has 3206 depart trains and 386 return trains.
