Herdsmen in Dulan county, Northwest China's Qinghai Province, recently rescued a red fox trapped in a mouse hole, leaving netizens both amused by the little creature's silliness and in admiration of the herdsmen's kindness, China News reported.

The fox got its head stuck attempting to chase after a mouse that had fled into the hole. 

In the video circulating on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo, the herdsmen found the fox and managed to free it by loosening the soil around the hole with a hammer. 

Many Chinese netizens compared the fox to a naughty kid who always ends up in trouble and needs help from his parents. "Would it feel ashamed for not only failing to catch the mouse, but also getting trapped by it?" a netizen joked.
