Air China will start services in two terminals in Beijing Capital International Airport from Friday. About 72 flights to 21 cities, such as from Beijing to Changzhou in East China's Jiangsu Province and Dali in Southwest China's Yunnan Province, will move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2. 

The carriers said the move will assist the airlines in developing the airport into a world-class aviation hub, as the airlines themselves aim to become a world-class air transport industry group with international competitiveness.

Air China said it will increase departures and arrivals in Terminal 2 in the coming days, before March of this year, as the more easily-accessible terminal is more convenient for passengers with limited time. 

As of the end of 2019, Air China (including its holding companies) had a total of 699 aircraft of various types and has operated 770 passenger routes, including 137 international routes, according to the information provided on its official website.

The carrier reported a decline of 1.5 percent year-on-year for passenger transport volume in domestic routes in November amid the pandemic.
