Chinese soldiers are known for their discipline and neatness, and when in the army, they have to neatly fold their quilts into the shape of tofu cubes. Recently, a video of soldiers doing exactly the same thing with snow once again impressed netizens.
With the cold wave bringing heavy snow to many parts of China, soldiers are required to clear the snow from the streets so that it won't turn into ice and pose potential dangers to unknowing passersby, who might slip and fall.
In a video circulated on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo, not only did the soldiers use brooms and shovels to clean the snow to the roadside, they even used scrapers to build the snow into angular blocks, painting and trimming the edges into perfect squares like an intricately made birthday cake.
Such acts amazed many netizens, who said that it reflected the soldiers' orderliness and constant pursuit of excellence. "The 'tofu cubes' are carved in their bones," said one comment.
