Quarantine not only dramatically changes human living patterns, but also causes considerable problems for people's most loyal friends - their pets. However, one resident in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province recently worked out a creative way to get round this issue while under community lockdown.
The resident of Suihua, Heilongjiang, which was recently hit by a COVID-19 outbreak, uses ropes to lower his dog from the eighth floor and slowly lifts it back up after it finishes going to the toilet. A video filmed by neighbors across the street recorded this amusing moment, accompanied by some humorous commentary.
The video clip went viral on Weibo, China's Twitter-like microblogging platform, and brought joy to many netizens, while others pointed out that this behavior was dangerous and polluted the public environment. "Forming good bowel habits may be a better choice for the whole neighborhood," wrote one netizen.
As reported, the community has been implementing strict quarantine measures which require residents to stay home. Netizens suggested the community work out a plan for pets during quarantine, as some of them cannot defecate at home properly.
