A journalist from the China Media Group has recently gone viral after an extraordinary experience - during an undercover operation in a car sales company, as he did so well in his job that his boss promoted him to second in command.
His face covered with a cartoon mask, the reporter, known as "Lao K," revealed that he once went undercover in a firm to find evidence to expose the tricks used by second-hand car trading platforms to deceive customers.
"In the beginning, I couldn't get to the core information as I was in a low position," said Lao K. "Anxious as I was, I worked really hard and managed to climb to the top."
"I've never been in such a high position. The change of role not only enabled me to 'boss around,' but also increased my income, which was several times higher than the salary I got as a reporter."
"My real boss was worried that I might quit my job and actually work at the company, and called me almost every day to make sure I wouldn't betray him," added Lao K.
