Si Phan Don -- Four thousand Islands in Laos

The Si Phan Don, known in English as "the Four Thousand Islands", is a riverine archipelago in the Mekong River, in southern Laos' Khong District of Champasak Province, some 550 km southeast of capital Vientiane.

Local people in the Si Phan Don live on the Mekong river, travelling across the river and fishing in the river.
