A hot pot restaurant in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, has recently been attracting more customers with a new dessert on its menu - "edible lipstick."
According to a video circulating online released by Chinanews.com on Tuesday, preparation for the dish is fairly easy, and involves pouring melted chocolate into lipstick-like molds before putting them into the fridge to cool down.
According to the video, this dessert was named "Goddess fixing her makeup." A 26-yuan ($3.95 dollars) dish made up of four "lipsticks" has now become a hit with customers.
The video attracted netizens' attention on Chinese Twitter-like platform Sina Weibo. "I wonder if there are any other colors I can try?" read one comment under the post.
Hot pot restaurant owners have been making efforts to win over customers in recent days, as more and more similar hot pot restaurants have sprung up in the city.
Over 20 thousand results appear for Chengdu alone after typing "hot pot restaurant" in Dazhongdianpin, a Chinese app that is similar to Tripadvisor.
