A shopping mall in Central China's Henan Province has recently held a "dazing competition" which has attracted over 100 participants aged under 30 to compete with each other by staying perfectly still.
A video clip of the competition, which was later shared online, showed players in different postures, with some sitting, some lying flat, and others curled up.
This is the fourth time the shopping mall has held the competition, and they have received over 300 applications this time, a staffer from the shopping mall told Xuanwo Video on Tuesday.
The aim is to get people to take a break from their busy lives and empty their minds, the staffer said.
The winner of the game will receive a washing and drying machine worth 2,000 yuan ($305.80), explained the staffer.
For safety reasons, the game could only be played by people under the age of 30, which drew some controversies from netizens who questioned whether it is fair to people over that age, and who actually need this kind of break to clear their minds.
Other netizens were amused by the idea. "Holding a mobile phone and watching a TV series, I can keep the same posture for a whole day," one said.
