Tornadoes often leave onlookers in awe of their terrifying strength and speed - but not so much in Central China's Hubei Province, where one tornado was no match for an old man holding a water pipe.
A video that has been widely circulating online showed a tornado swirling around dust, sand and confetti approaching a parking lot in Suizhou, Hubei, as a crowd gasped at the sight. However, this seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary for an old man washing his car. Instead of shouting or scrambling for cover, he picked up a high-pressure water gun and took aim at the tornado, quelling the rampaging wind instantly.
Ignoring the applause from the impressed audience, he then went back to washing his car as if nothing had happened.
The video was soon forwarded by many people on China's Twitter-like platform Sina Weibo, with netizens amazed at the old man's calmness.
A netizen wrote, "This may be the lamest tornado ever, simply giving up to an old man washing his car like that."
