A new exhibition of artworks by six well-respected French artists from France's Académie des Beaux-Arts (Academy of Fine Arts) kicked off at the Time Museum in Beijing on Monday to show Chinese visitors the beauty of French art.

The exhibition features more than 40 artworks, including oil paintings, sculptures and prints, to show these French artists' creative breakthroughs as well as accentuate their individual artistic styles.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is artist Pierre-Yves Trémois, a dear friend of Salvador Dali. Trémois has been regarded as a significant name in French sketch art in the 20th century. The exhibition will also show works by sculptor Jean Cardot, who is best known for creating the bronze statue of Sir Winston Churchill in front of the Petit Palais in 1988.

The exhibition is scheduled to end on May 21.
