A video clip featuring an astonishing piece of mountain road with 21 sharp turns resembling a hairpin in Southwest China's Sichuan Province has recently gone viral.

The high mountain pass is 1,096 meters above sea level and is located on a steep incline of over 80 degrees. It climbs sharply via 21 hairpins tightly stacked one on top of another over a length of just 1.8 kilometers. With hair-raising 180-degree corners, one wrong move could end up with the driver going over the low concrete barrier.

"I'm so afraid just looking at it," said one awed netizen on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo.

"You can tell how strong China's infrastructure is by being able to construct a road under such difficult conditions," commented another netizen.
