An explosion in Dongning city, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Wednesday morning left eight dead and four injured. The local government informed that the explosion was caused by illegal manufacture and storage of explosives.
After a preliminary investigation by the local public security department, the legal person of Huasheng Economic and Trade Co Ltd, was found to be responsible for the accident, who illegally produced and stored explosives for a coal mine, the media office of the Dongning government informed on Wednesday evening.
The search and rescue operation finished at 8pm local time. All the injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
