The General Office of the CPC Central Committee recently published a document that clarifies the rights and duties of Party committees in central enterprises to make decisions, implement tasks and supervise companies, according to Xinhua News Agency on Sunday.  

According to the article, Party committees of central enterprises are an important part of the organizational structure of the Communist Party of China (CPC). They should play a leading role in steering the companies' business direction and promoting implementation policies.

The article also makes clear the duties of Party committees in central enterprises in discussing and deciding corporate matters, the role of those committees in the decision making of general managers' office meetings, as well as the committees' self-construction.

It also stressed that all Party committees in central enterprises should encourage innovation and strengthen the Party's leadership in corporate governance of state-owned enterprises.
