A new exhibition featuring calligraphy and landscape paintings from Xukou town, East China's Jiangsu Province kicked off on Tuesday in Beijing to present the beauty of the town sitting near Taihu Lake.
Hometown to a number of renowned ancient painters, the town in Suzhou has a long history and tradition of calligraphy and painting.
The highlight is a 30-meter-long scroll featuring the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake that was completed by five local painters over six months.
Other exhibits include water ink paintings, ink stones and calligraphy works.
