A recruitment notice seeking to find breeders of giant pandas in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, has attracted netizens' attention because of its special requirements that applicants must have strong arms in order to handle the pandas, who need to defecate over 40 times a day.
The notice also said applicants should not appear too excited when seeing the pandas and will also need to cook snacks for the animals.
The recruitment notice generated huge discussion on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo and lots of netizens jokingly commented the first requirement has made their dream job impossible.
"Why do breeders need to have such strong arms? I am longing to take care of adorable pandas!" one netizen said, echoing many others on social media.
The staff explained that pandas need to eat 15 to 38 kilograms of bamboo every day, all of which is prepared by the breeders and also one panda can defecate more than 40 times every day, which is also cleaned up by the breeders, so the breeders need to be strong enough to deal with the tiring work.
"I will take more practice and try to be competent for the job. Wait for me, cute pandas!" another netizen said.
