A: Look at this painting, so you see anything different?

你看看这幅画,看出有什么不同了吗？

B: I don't see anyplace special, it looks like it is just a sketch by Yuan Longping. 

感觉没有什么特殊的地方,好像只是一幅袁隆平的素描画像。

(ɡǎnjué méiyǒu shenme tèshūde dìfānɡ, hǎoxiànɡ zhīshì yīfú yuánlónɡpínɡ de sùmiáo huàxiànɡ.)

A: It is indeed a sketch, but the artist used 10,000 grains of "smiling rice" to make it. Each brushstroke is a grain of smiling rice. The thousands upon thousands of them form a picture. 

确实是一幅素描画像,但是艺术家用了1万颗"微笑大米"画成的。他的每一个笔触都是一粒微笑的大米,成千上万加起来变成了一幅画。

B: I really respect this painter. This painting isn't just a new style, it fits the occasion. 

我真佩服这个画画的人,这幅画不仅别出心裁,而且也很应景。

(wǒ zhēn pèifú zhèɡè huàhuà de rén, zhèfú huà bùjǐn biéchūxīncái, érqiě yěhěn yīnɡjǐnɡ.)

A: This artist has a lot of these types of artworks besides this one. For instance using thousands upon thousands of characters of Wuhan to make a picture of Zhong Nanshan. 

这个艺术家还有很多类似的艺术作品,用成千上万个武汉字符画出了一副钟南山的画像。
