China continues to dominate the number of supercomputers on the newly released Top500 supercomputer list in 2021, with a total of 186 Chinese supercomputers showcased on the list.
Chinese supercomputers Sunway TaihuLight which is developed by China's National Research Center of Parallel Computer Engineering & Technology and installed at the National Supercomputing Center in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu Province, ranks at the fourth position among the Top 10 listed supercomputers, according to the list.
Tianhe-2A, a system developed by China's National University of Defense Technology and deployed at the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong Province, came in No.7.
Chinese manufacturers continue to top the list with the number of installations, with Lenovo and Inspur claiming top two, and Sugon receiving the fourth, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday, adding that a total 281 of the top 500 supercomputers are installed by the three Chinese vendors.
Japan's Fugaku remains the first on the ranking, beating the No.2 Summit system developed by the US by three times, according to the list.
