reconnaissance soldiers/ 侦察兵/ (zhēnchábīnɡ)
A: Recently, there was a video on the internet of a team of reconnaissance soldiers from the Tibet military region climbing over a glacier at 6,100 meters above sea level and training.

B: I saw the video. It really was dangerous. The air at that altitude is really thin. The reconnaissance soldiers also had to carry over 15 kilograms straight up a vertical ice cliff. In the video, the ice slope was steep, and there were pieces of ice falling everywhere. The reconnaissance soldiers fell many times.
我看了这个视频。真是太惊险了。冰川地带的空气含氧量很稀薄,侦察兵们还需负重30多斤,攀登垂直冰壁。视频里,冰面陡峭,冰块随处掉落,好几次侦察兵们滑落下来。

A: The terrain on a glacier is really complicated and the environment is harsh. The coldness and lack of oxygen were a huge test of the reconnaissance soldiers' willpower.
