A sketch art event will kick off on Wednesday in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to capture the unique cultural landscape of the region.  

Launched by the China Artists Association, the exhibition will focus on diversifying and enriching the cultural life of local people in the region. It will be held in Kashi, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. 

In addition to the art event, special forums and a series of cultural activities will be launched at the same time to support the development of art education in Xinjiang.

The art event is scheduled to end on July 25.
