The National Art Museum of China kicked off a new exhibition to depict the country's iconic Yellow River through selected pieces of art from its collection on Friday.
The art exhibition featuring 131 artworks ranging from paintings, prints, sculptures and watercolors from 104 artists explores the natural beauty and spirit of the river through three sections.
According to the National Art Museum of China President Wu Weishan, most of the artworks on display at the exhibition were created after the Resistance War against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) by artists such as Guan Shanyue, Jin Shangyi and Wu Zuoren.
The exhibition is set to run until September 22.
