Shanghai Disney Resort was fined 5,000 yuan ($773) for posting improper notices on lockers by Shanghai local market regulator recently, according to Qixin.com, a commercial investigation platform.
According to the information posted on the platform, the resort was issued an administrative punishment of 5,000 yuan by the market regulator in Pudong New Area of Shanghai on August 25, based on article 12 of regulations on the supervision and handling of contract violations.
According to The Paper on Tuesday, from June 16, 2016, the notices posted on four lockers read: please take good care of your personal belongings. Shanghai Disneyland has no liability if you incur any losses.
However, the resort has the legal obligation to take care of all goods in the lockers, one Shanghai-based lawyer told the Global Times on Tuesday. "The company exempted themselves from their obligation, so the punishment was implemented based on the regulations."
