 An extremely obese man weighing 263 kilograms has recently undergone a personalized weight loss surgery, and is expected to lose 200 to 300 kilograms in a year. 

The 27-year-old named Daming from Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, weighed more than 260 kilograms and half of it was fat. Given that his abdominal fat was several times thicker than the ordinary person's, doctors customized the medical devices for his laparoscopic surgery. 

Daming's body condition remains stable after the surgery. His gastrointestinal motility returned to normal within 24 hours. He could even get off bed for moderate exercise on the second day after surgery.

It is estimated that he can lose 200 to 300 kilograms in a year. The successful weight loss surgery has made Daming more confident that he will lose the fat.

Daming's successful weight loss surgery has become a hot topic with more than 56 million readings and discussions on Sina Weibo, China's Twitter-like social media platform, as netizens wished him good luck.
