A Chinese photographer has gone viral on social media for her over 100 photos taken of children living in mountain areas in Southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Born after 1995 from Chengdu, Sichuan, the young photo-sharer surnamed Zhong serves as a children photographer for her daily job.
She began to upload sets of photos on Chinese social media platforms that she had taken during her several road trips to the southwest part of China since 2020.
"This photo-recording idea came to me when I first visited Liangshan [Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan] last year, where I was able to see many local children full of sincerity and passion," Zhong told Toutiao News.
The counties and towns in Liangshan were once considered as the poorest areas in China. They were described by Chinese media as the "hardest bone to bite on" during the country's poverty alleviation work from 2016 to 2020.
"Taking pictures of children cures me, makes me forget all the trouble from work and life, and reminds me the real value of a photographer," Zhong said.
