A young man in Central China's Henan Province, who was presumed dead after staying up all night playing games surprisingly "came back to life," much to the delight of doctors, reported Toutiao News on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old man fainted at an internet bar in Zhengzhou. A staffer at the bar said the man suddenly fell to the ground with convulsions and foam around his mouth when he got up from the chair after playing games all night.
Doctors from a nearby hospital later arrived but found the man was already "in a state of death" with a pause in breath and heartbeat.
However, the doctors still decided to try to rescue the man considering he hadn't been dead for a long time, said a doctor at the scene.
After doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation for nearly twenty minutes and using epinephrine rescue drugs on the man, his heart spontaneously started beating again and he was immediately sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
He is now in stable condition.
The man suffered pulmonary embolism resulted from his long-term habit of stay up late playing games and sitting for too long without exercising, according to the doctor.
