A man in Bijie, Southwest China's Guizhou Province, called firemen on Saturday for help saying that ghosts had set his house on fire, but it turned out that the man had set his own house ablaze while he was drunk.
In a phone call with a fireman, the man said, "Hurry up! A ghost of finch and three ghosts of foxes have set my house on fire!" The video was posted by China Fire Rescue Department under the Ministry of Emergency Management on social platform Sina Weibo on Saturday.
The fireman answering the phone was confused, so he asked the man if his house was really on fire and whether there was someone else besides him. But the man said he was alone.
The fireman wanted to dismiss the case as fake, but the anxious man called for several times. When the firemen reached the man's home, they found out that the house was indeed burning, but he had set it on fire by himself.
