The Hong Kong Police Force confirmed with the Global Times on Tuesday that another bomb hoax has been reported on a flight from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to Shanghai on Tuesday afternoon. No one was injured and police are conducting a further investigation. On Saturday, a similar bomb hoax was reported.

Around 2:22 pm on Tuesday, police received a report which claimed that a bomb was placed on a plane leaving Hong Kong for the mainland. No one has been arrested and police are conducting a further investigation. 

The flight returned to Hong Kong on Tuesday afternoon, Hong Kong media reported.

A similar bomb hoax was reported to the Hong Kong police on Saturday morning at a flight from Hong Kong to Beijing. 

Police said that a bomb hoax is a severe crime and those found guilty would face a HK$50,000 fine and three years in prison, and once convicted after public prosecution, they could face a maximum of HK$150,000 and five years in prison.
