Chinese leading technological company Terminus Group will build its first overseas AI CITY project in Dubai in cooperation with Expo Dubai 2020. 

Terminus Group as the official premier partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, will help the Expo to build a futuristic digitalized city. Terminus Group signed a long-term lease with District 2020 (D2020), where they will help participate in the digital transformation of area.

In particular, Terminus Group will apply their AIoT solutions and help with the software and hardware upgrade of the D2020. Their design for the D2020 incorporates the concept of carbon reduction and sustainable development. Terminus Group aims to apply AIoT technologies to comprehensively upgrade the software and hardware of the D2020 to create a futuristic digitalized city.

The difference between artificial intelligence cities and smart cities is that AI CITY can be understood as an AI-enabled ecosystem that incorporates a wide scope of urban hardware devices and software platforms, representing a brand-new innovation. AI CITY will be an intelligent self-aware entity capable of independent decision-making.

As far as new technology, AI CITY was created in an era of rapid ICT growth, in which AI, 5G, IoT and big data are all changing the way we live. As for the urban experience, it can offer customized services for individuals and remotely upgrade its functions. Solution-wise, the AI CITY bridges the gap between data silos for individual scenarios and enables cross-scenario data operability, including both software and hardware, as well as will help to achieve carbon neutrality.

The current wave of the new industrial revolution is in the ascendant, and the digital economy, green development and new business models promote the integration of the artificial intelligence, it brings new opportunities for the world economy to achieve leap-forward development.
