A wild boar that appeared in a bank in Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, hit the news headlines recently.
A video circulating on the internet shows many staff members dragging a boar out of the entrance of a bank and later loading it into a net and into a truck. Reports say on Tuesday, a bank staff member in Baoji, Shaanxi found the boar inside the bank in the morning and then contacted the local forestry bureau to deal with it.
According to the local forestry bureau official, the wild boar was about a meter long and about 100 kilograms. "Since we did not know it was a domestic boar at the time, we released it into the mountains after it was captured."
The official said that it is legal for farmers to breed domesticized boars in their own farms, but they must be well protected to avoid causing panic.
