China's cargo industry has witnessed a full recovery from January to September, official data showed on Thursday.
The cargo and mail transport volume in the first three quarters stood at 5.45 million tons, up 14.3 percent from the same period last year, and it has recovered to 100.1 percent of the level of 2019 before the epidemic, Li Yong, an official from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), said in a press release.
The CAAC said China's civil aviation industry has recovered steadily from the impact of COVID-19, and the main indicators in September have rebounded significantly from the previous month.
There were 353 million passenger trips handled from January to September, an increase of 25.8 percent compared with last year, and equivalent to about 71 percent of the level in the same period of 2019.
The CAAC also said there were 3.41 million flights from January to September, a year-on-year increase of 18.5 percent.
The aviation industry will enter into the winter and spring seasons from October 31, and the CAAC said it will carry out the same plan for international passenger flights.
