China's prestigious Tianjin University has established a wide range of projects for building a better innovation and entrepreneurship ecology.

As a school powering in engineering that has made outstanding contributions to Chinese industries, Tianjin University has built a scientific and technological innovation system and entrepreneurial practice platform. 

It not only links the transformation of achievements, but also sets up school-enterprise laboratories and science and technology funds, offering students a good platform in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The first partner on the road to alumni entrepreneurship of the Tianjin University is Peiyang Begonia Fund. It's one of the most representative projects from the university. Though its scale is small, with a unique insight, it could always find some projects with the most market value among the vast array of projects. 

For example, in November 2020, the national finals of the ninth China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to an end in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province. Two of the companies invested by Peiyang Begonia Fund ranked the top 12 in this domestic entrepreneurial event.

In April, Peiyang Begonia Fund established an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecological WeChat Group in Tianjin University. In the group, alumni often post some entrepreneurial projects, and interested capital will follow up.

Capital and projects, innovation and entrepreneurship and talent training, are seamlessly connected in the university. 

In the past three years, a "Nine Ones" alumni entrepreneurship supporting system including entrepreneurship lectures, innovation and entrepreneurship forums, entrepreneurship courses, entrepreneurship competitions, entrepreneurship acceleration camps, entrepreneurial clubs, venture capital funds, youth science and technology innovation awards, and innovation and entrepreneurship base construction is beginning to take shape.

The general elective course "Entrepreneurial Practice Training" at Tianjin University is popular. In this class, students are the center, teachers are teaching assistants, and entrepreneurs with rich entrepreneurial and practical experience are the main lecturers. Lecturer entrepreneurs lead students out of campus, to the locations of alumni entrepreneurial companies in different industries and fields. This helps students to experience real business scenarios. 

Currently, the two campuses of Tianjin University have each opened a scientific zones, which are close to the market, and provide a fast-growing platform for the growth of technology-based start-ups.

Just like the "entrepreneurship heaven" at Stanford University and Silicon Valley, Tianjin University aims to offer the students support and resources at all times.
