The Disneyland Park in Hong Kong suspended operation for one day on Wednesday to ensure relevant cast members can complete the nucleic acid test sooner after the visit of a confirmed COVID-19 guest. Guests who planned to visit the park on Wednesday are advised to visit on another day.
The confirmed case was in the park on November 14 between 11 am and 6 pm. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government issued a compulsory testing notice requiring any persons who were present at the park at any time during the period from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday to undergo compulsory testing for COVID-19 on or before Thursday.
The Disneyland Park said about 94 percent of full-time entertainers at the resort have received two doses of the vaccines.
Previously, the Shanghai Disneyland Resort hit national headlines for its rapid COVID-19 emergency response under the guidance and management of local authorities. It reopened just two days after it was shut down due to possible COVID-19 infection risks.
