Surprises or magical moments can and usually happen during blind dates. A woman surnamed Wang in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province, unexpectedly ended up in quarantine with her blind date due to COVID-19 control protocols. She described the situation as "extremely embarrassing."
On Sunday, Wang visited her blind date's apartment upon invitation to have dinner. When she was about to leave after the dinner, she suddenly found out that the whole residential area went into lockdown under COVID-19 control protocols, as a number of COVID-19 cases were reported.
Wang had no choice but to stay with her blind date who she had just met for an hour.
"I have spent four days with him [her blind date], living with him and his family," Wang told local media outlet Shijian News on Monday, saying that she felt embarrassed with the incident.
The city of Zhengzhou has reported more than 100 COVID-19 cases in the latest round of outbreak in the past week.
