The Ministry of Transport vowed at a meeting on Thursday to accelerate the compliance of the online car-hailing industry while effectively preventing the disorderly expansion of capital, according to a post on the ministry's official Wechat account.

The ministry will adopt a variety of supervision methods to promote the application of standardized work plans, in local and major online car-hailing platforms, while implementing a slew of measures to urge companies that refuse to take actions for rectification.

Meanwhile, the ministry also stressed the importance of preventing the disorderly expansion of capital, seriously dealing with violations like monopolistic practices and preventing platforms and enterprises from using algorithms, technologies and capital advantages to carry out unfair competition.

The ministry will further effectively protect the rights and interests of consumers and industry players, while ensuring reasonable labor compensation and holidays for industry workers and implementing relevant measures to improve the working environment.

The ministry also said that it will continuously deepen the reform on taxes with improved price mechanisms and maintain the safety and stability of the industry.
