With the Year of the Tiger approaching, China’s ancient cultural relics inspired by the big cat have been welcomed by Chinese audiences. For hundreds of years, Chinese people worshiped tigers and created portraits in different art forms like paper cuttings, paintings and sculptures, generating a unique culture of the tiger. People can view them at the National Museum of China in Beijing and other provincial museums including those in Liaoning, Sichuan and Shanxi provinces.
