People in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka on Monday thronged parks and green spaces to celebrate Pohela Falgun, the first day of spring and of the Bengali month Falgun, along with the Valentine's Day.
As always, women and girls in Dhaka were seen in "bashonti" (yellow or orange) colored sarees and wearing floral ornaments to welcome the arrival of spring coinciding with the Valentine's Day.
Amid vibrant bursts of color, a troupe of artists danced and splashed each other with powder colored red and yellow.
