A: You're about to graduate soon, do you have any plans for your future job?

你马上就快要毕业了,对未来的职业有任何规划吗？

B: I want to become a curator of contemporary art. So I need to go to the  curating department at a contemporary art institution to train and study. 

我想要当一个当代艺术策展人,因此,我需要先去到当代艺术机构的策展部实习和学习。

(wǒ xiǎnɡyào dānɡ yīɡè dānɡdài yìshù cèzhǎnrén, yīncǐ, wǒ xūyào xiān qùdào dānɡdài yìshù jīɡòu de cèzhǎn bù shíxí hé xuéxí.)

A: You sound very clear on your direction. Can you tell me what a curator does for a job?

B: The main job for a curator is to plan all kinds of systematic art exhibitions. Additionally, they also research the items on exhibit. 

策展人的工作内容主要是策划各种系统性的艺术展,另外,也包括研究展览的作品等。

A:  So what can you do to become a better art curator? 

做什么能让自己成为一个更好的艺术策展人呢？

B: Hard to say, but to be an art curator you must have an understanding of Chinese and foreign art history.  

这很难回答,但作为艺术策展人对中外艺术史的了解是必不可少的。
