China Eastern Airlines on Sunday started the compensation process for the relatives of the victims of crashed flight MU5735, as all 132 people on board were declared dead on Saturday night.

China Eastern Airlines said it will establish uniform compensation standards under a communication plan with families of the victims for specific details, Liu Xiaodong, spokesperson of China Eastern Airlines, said on Sunday during a press conference.

The company has dedicated a team to take charge of the claim settlement and compensation work, and opened a special line for the relatives of the victims. China Eastern will also reach out to discuss the compensation with family members according to their convenience, according to Liu.

Last week, insurance companies activated emergency plans for the victims of the plane crash.

At the request of the bereaved families, some relatives carried out a memorial at the search and rescue site and funeral home. The national emergency response headquarters for the China Eastern Airlines Flight MU5735 aircraft accident also held a mourning service at the site of the crash on Sunday.

The second black box of the plane was found on Sunday.
