The Lover - Stage play

This new stage play in one of China's most vibrant cities, Chengdu, is going to tell a love story between a long married couple who has been together for more than 10 years. After a decade of marriage, the two find their love life growing dull so they decide to play the perfect lover in each other's mind to try to ignite their passions.

However, the sweetness and bitterness the game leads the couple to rethink their love and marriage.

The Chinese play's story was inspired by Nobel Prize-winning British playwright Harold Pinter's 1962 stage play of the same name.

Unlike traditional stage plays, the new show in Chengdu adopts the new form of providing audiences with an immersive experience that allows them to get close to the actors as they play roles in the drama themselves.

The show is sure to be exciting for people who are interested in experimental stage theater.
