TUNE: LEANING ON BALUSTRADE
ON MY WAY TO JINLING
Qiao Ji
(Yuan Dynasty)
I roam on a lean horse laden with verse I write;
Tired birds bewail over desolate villages in sight.
Overhead willow down in flight,
Adds to my forehead hair white.
