Five factories of China FAW Group resume operation in Jilin Province

Five factories belonging to China FAW Group, a major automaker in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin Province have resumed production, as recovery in China’s automobile industry accelerates.

Operation of the five factories under China FAW Group have resumed and a total of 37,600 workers from FAW and its 502 auto parts suppliers have also returned to work, Jilin Daily reported on Thursday.

Factories belonging to FAW’s joint venture with Toyota and Volkswagen resumed operation with new cars coming off the production line while the factories making Bestune and FAW Jiefang brand trucks have completed the commissioning of a their production line.

A pillar enterprise of Jilin and an important part of domestic and global automotive industrial chain, China FAW Group sold 3.5 million vehicles in 2021, with its revenue hitting 707 billion yuan and the operation of the five factories had been suspended since March 13 under anti-epidemic requirements.
