Thanks to the mass COVID-19 nucleic acid testing, a 74-year-old mother in Central China's Henan Province found her son after losing contact with him five years ago.

The mother surnamed Zhang said her 33-year-old son, surnamed Wang, left home alone five years ago and lost contact with the family.

Then her husband died of illness. Zhang has tried to find Wang by distributing leaflets in the streets and posting  message online. But all failed.  Zhang had never thought she could find her son again through checking the record of COVID-19 testing. With the help of the local police and community workers, Zhang met Wang in Zhengzhou, Henan and took him back to the hometown to see his grandmother who is more than 90 years old. "It is a surprise that COVID-19 testing could help people find the lost child," one netizen said.
