On May 7, traffic police in Jinan, East China's Shandong Province, received a report from several netizens that a man showed off his newly bought tricycle online and said he would ride it to Xizang Autonomous Region.
The man, surnamed Liu, known as an influencer on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, has more than 580,000 followers and is known as a mukbang blogger. In his video, he drove the tricycle back to his residence wearing slippers without a driver's license. Since the video was sent out, netizens have made many comments, causing a great negative impact.
Local traffic police immediately started the investigation, and they found the tricycle in the video in the residential area on the same day. Finally the police took Liu and his tricycle back to the station and it was verified that Liu does not hold a driving license. Liu was fined 200 yuan for his stunt.The man admitted he made a mistake in posting a video online just to attract attention.
